Welcome to the Home of the Annual St. Joseph’s Charity Golf Tournament
This year, St. Joseph’s Ukrainian Catholic Church is celebrating its 13th anniversary at its current location, 300 River Oaks Blvd. East, Oakville, ON. Since 2012, we have been proud owners of a new church and parish centre. Over 500 families are now members of the congregation.
We invite you to visit us in the near future. In recent years, we have taken on several new projects including a beautiful Iconostas, exterior bronze icons and iconography inside the church.
The St. Joseph’s Golf Classic provides a wonderful social opportunity to enjoy a popular pastime for our members, their families, friends and the broader community.
The tournament raises funds to support the financial obligations of the Church, Humanitarian Fund in Ukraine and the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.
The success of our golf tournament depends primarily on the generosity of our sponsors and donors, as well as the commitment of our golfers and volunteers. We sincerely thank everyone who has contributed to the success of our tournament.

FACTS
INCREDIBLY SUCCESSFUL - The Golf Tournament is St. Joseph’s most successful fundraising event and has raised over $736,000 to date.
IN DEMAND – We are so blessed. Our tournament sells out every year. It has been expanded to include morning and afternoon shotguns, allowing over 200 golfers to participate on a single day.
PREMIUM EVENT – We host a post-golf banquet which is held at St. Joseph’s Banquet & Conference Centre. Attendance at the banquet is bolstered by non-golfer attendees, spouses, family and friends all of whom enjoy the delicious traditional food and the premium prize table.

History
The first St. Joseph’s Annual Golf Classic was held in 2007 at the Royal Woodbine Golf Club, where fifty-eight dedicated golfers braved an unseasonably snowy September day. Thanks to their commitment—along with the support of our Title Sponsor, Ukrainian Credit Union, and our additional sponsors—we were able to raise a profit of $8,800.
Three years later, with the continued support of UCU and the wider Ukrainian community, the tournament had grown significantly. Beginning in 2010 and continuing to this day, we have sold out every event—except in 2020, when, despite the challenges of COVID, we still welcomed an impressive 112 golfers.
In 2011, St. Joe’s formed a partnership with Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Since 2011, St. Joe’s has pledged $65,625 to OTMH. In recognition of our donations, OTMH has designated a Patient Counseling Quiet Room on the 3rd floor, a Nephrology Treatment Station and a Cardio Pacemaker Clinic.
In 2013, the year after our new church was completed, we moved the tournament to Piper’s Heath Golf Course and began hosting our golf banquets at our new St. Joseph’s Banquet & Conference Centre.
Demand for our tournament was so strong that beginning in 2014 we opened a morning shotgun in addition to our afternoon tournament. We now have over 200 golfers attending our tournament annually.
In 2022, the tournament moved to Royal Ontario Golf Club.
Over the years, we have:
hosted over 3,000 golfers and
generated a year-to-date profit of over $736,000.
Our annual golf tournament has donated to St. Joseph’s Building Mortgage Fund, Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and to UCU Helps Ukraine.
